9U Tryouts

Idaho Hype Baseball is holding tryouts for our 9U roster. We're looking for players who are coachable, competitive, and ready to put in the work. All skill levels are encouraged to tryout — we evaluate attitude and effort just as much as ability. Come ready to play hard and have fun.

Tryout Details

Age Requirement: Cannot Turn 10 before May 1st.

Date: May 21st

Time: 6PM

Location: Bear Creek Park Field 1

What to Bring | Glove, batting helmet, bat, cleats, water bottle |

What To Expect Section

Players will rotate through four evaluation stations:

1. Throwing & Fielding — ground balls, fly balls, arm strength and accuracy

2. Hitting — live batting practice, swing mechanics, pitch recognition

3. Base Running — speed, instincts, and hustle

4. Live Game Situations — how players compete and respond to coaching

Evaluations take approximately an Hour to an hour and a half. Parents are welcome to watch from the designated viewing area.

Good To Know

Roster spots are limited — registration does not guarantee a spot

- Players will be notified of selections within 7 days after tryouts

- All selected players will need to complete registration and pay team fees before the season begins
